AC.98, 창2:8, '여호와 하나님이 동방의 에덴에 동산을'(AC.98-101)

8절, 여호와 하나님이 동방의 에덴에 동산을 창설하시고 그 지으신 사람을 거기 두시니라 And Jehovah God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed.

‘동산’(a garden)은 지성(intelligence)을, ‘에덴’(Eden)은 사랑을, ‘동방’(the east)은 주님을 의미하며, 그 결과, ‘동방의 에덴동산’(the garden of Eden eastward)은 천적 인간의 지성(the intelligence of the celestial man), 곧 주님으로 말미암아 사랑을 통해 천적 인간 안으로 흘러 들어가는 지성을 말합니다. By a “garden” is signified intelligence; by “Eden,” love; by the “east,” the Lord; consequently by the “garden of Eden eastward” is signified the intelligence of the celestial man, which flows in from the Lord through love.
