AC.161, 창2:24, '이러므로 남자가 부모를 떠나'(AC.160-162)

24절, 이러므로 남자가 부모를 떠나 그의 아내와 합하여 둘이 한 몸을 이룰지로다 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.

이들 태고교회의 후손은 악하지 않았고, 여전히 선했는데요, 그렇지만 그들은 그러면서도 겉 사람 안, 즉 그들의 본성 가운데 살기를 원했기 때문에, 주님은 이를 허락하셨습니다. 주님의 자비로 그런 그들 안으로 영적, 천적인 것들이 스며들듯 심어지면서 말입니다. 속과 겉이 어떻게 하나로 움직이는지, 어떻게 하나로 나타나는지 하는 건 이쪽에서 저쪽으로의 인플럭스(the influx of the one into the other, 入流)라는 걸 모르면 알 수 없는데요, 이걸 알기 위해 어떤 행위를 하나 생각해 보면, 어떤 행위에 체어리티(charity, 이웃 사랑), 즉 사랑과 신앙, 그리고 그 안에 주님이 계시지 않는 한, 그 행위는 체어리티의 일, 즉 신앙의 열매라 할 수 없는 것과 같은 것입니다. This posterity of the most ancient church was not evil, but was still good; and because they desired to live in the external man or in their own, this was permitted them by the Lord; what is spiritual celestial, however, being mercifully instilled therein. How the internal and external act as a one, or how they appear as a one, cannot be known unless the influx of the one into the other is known. In order to conceive some idea of it, take for example an action. Unless in an action there is charity, that is, love and faith, and in these the Lord, that action cannot be called a work of charity, or the fruit of faith.
