AC.123, 창2:15, '여호와 하나님이 그 사람을 이끌어'(AC.122-124)

15절, 여호와 하나님이 그 사람을 이끌어 에덴동산에 두어 그것을 경작하며 지키게 하시고 And Jehovah God took the man, and put him in the garden of Eden, to till it and take care of it.

천적 인간은 일반적으로나 구체적으로나 모든 것이 다 주님의 것임을 인정합니다(acknowledges). 그가 그 사실을 지각하기(perceives) 때문이지요. 영적 인간 역시 그 사실을 인정하지만, 그러나 입으로 합니다. 그가 그걸 말씀으로부터 배웠기(has learned) 때문입니다. The celestial man acknowledges, because he perceives, that all things both in general and in particular are the Lord’s. The spiritual man does indeed acknowledge the same, but with the mouth, because he has learned it from the Word.

 

※ ‘perceive’와 ‘learn’의 차이에 주목합니다. 전자는 천국, 곧 주님으로 말미암아 아는 것이고, 후자는 세상 학습을 통해 아는 것입니다.

 

세속적이고 육적(肉的, corporeal)인 인간은 그 사실을 인정(acknowledge)도, 마지못한 시인(admit)도 안 합니다. 자기가 가진 건 뭐든지 ‘이건 내 거야’(his own)라고 하며, 만일 그걸 잃게 되면, 자기는 완전히 끝나는 줄로 압니다. The worldly and corporeal man neither acknowledges nor admits it; but whatever he has he calls his own, and imagines that were he to lose it, he would altogether perish.
