AC.567, 창6:1, '사람이 땅 위에 번성하기 시작할 때에' (AC.564-568)

1절, 사람이 땅 위에 번성하기 시작할 때에 그들에게서 딸들이 나니 And it came to pass that man began to multiply himself upon the faces of the ground, and daughters were born unto them.

All that region is called the region of the church where those live who are instructed in the doctrine of true faith; as the land of Canaan, when the Jewish church was there, and Europe, where the Christian church now is; the lands and countries outside of this are not the region of the church, or the “faces of the ground.” Where the church was before the flood, may also appear from the lands which the rivers encompassed that went forth from the garden of Eden, by which in various parts of the Word are likewise described the boundaries of the land of Canaan;

 

그 날에 여호와께서 아브람과 더불어 언약을 세워 이르시되 내가 이 땅을 애굽 강에서부터 그 큰 강 유브라데까지 네 자손에게 주노니 (창15:18)

 

방향을 돌려 행진하여 아모리 족속의 산지로 가고 그 근방 곳곳으로 가고 아라바와 산지와 평지와 네겝과 해변과 가나안 족속의 땅과 레바논과 큰 강 유브라데까지 가라 (신1:7)

 

너희의 발바닥으로 밟는 곳은 다 너희의 소유가 되리니 너희의 경계는 곧 광야에서부터 레바논까지와 유브라데 강에서부터 서해까지라 (신11:24)

 

곧 광야와 이 레바논에서부터 큰 강 곧 유브라데 강까지 헷 족속의 온 땅과 또 해 지는 쪽 대해까지 너희의 영토가 되리라 (수1:4)

 

또 동으로 가서 거주하면서 유브라데 강에서부터 광야 지경까지 다다랐으니 이는 길르앗 땅에서 그 가축이 번식함이라 (대상5:9)

 

and also from what follows concerning the Nephilim that were “in the land”; and that these Nephilim dwelt in the land of Canaan is evident from what is said of the sons of Anak: that they were “of the Nephilim” (Num. 13:33).

 

거기서 네피림 후손인 아낙 자손의 거인들을 보았나니 우리는 스스로 보기에도 메뚜기 같으니 그들이 보기에도 그와 같았을 것이니라 (민13:33)
