AC.399, 창4:17, '아내와 동침하매 그가 임신하여' (AC.399-403)

17절, 아내와 동침하매 그가 임신하여 에녹을 낳은지라 가인이 성을 쌓고 그의 아들의 이름으로 성을 이름하여 에녹이라 하니라 And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived, and bare Enoch; and he was building a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch.

다음 말씀들, 곧 ‘아내와 동침하매 그가 임신하여 에녹을 낳은지라’(Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bare Enoch)는 이 스키즘(schism)이나 이단(heresy)에서 ‘에녹’(Enoch)이라는 또 다른 이단이 나왔음을, ‘성을 쌓고’(the city which he built)는 거기서 나오는 모든 교리적이고 이단적인 가르침과, 그리고 그 스키즘이나 이단을 ‘에녹’이라 했기 때문에, ‘그의 아들의 이름으로 성을 이름하여 에녹이라 하니라’(the name of the city was called after the name of his son, Enoch)라고 했음을 각각 의미합니다. The words “Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bare Enoch” signify that this schism or heresy produced another from itself that was called “Enoch.” By “the city which he built” is signified all that was doctrinal and heretical therefrom, and because the schism or heresy was called “Enoch,” it is said that “the name of the city was called after the name of his son, Enoch.”
