AC.350, 창4:4, '아벨은 자기도 양의 첫 새끼와 그 기름으로' (AC.350-354)

4절, 아벨은 자기도 양의 첫 새끼와 그 기름으로 드렸더니 여호와께서 아벨과 그의 제물은 받으셨으나 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock, and of the fat thereof; and Jehovah looked to Abel, and to his offering.

여기 ‘아벨’(Abel)은 앞서와 같이 체어리티를, ‘양의 첫 새끼’(the firstlings of the flock)는 거룩한 것, 홀로 주님에게만 속한, ‘기름’(fat)은 천적(天的, the celestial) 그 자체, 이 역시 주님에게만 속한, ‘여호와께서 아벨과 그의 제물은 받으셨으나’(Jehovah looking unto Abel, and to his offering)는 체어리티와 체어리티 기반 모든 예배에 속한, 그래서 주님을 기쁘시게 하는 것들을 말합니다. By “Abel” here as before is signified charity; and by the “firstlings of the flock” is signified that which is holy, which is of the Lord alone; by “fat” is signified the celestial itself, which also is of the Lord; and by “Jehovah looking unto Abel, and to his offering,” that the things of charity, and all worship grounded in charity, were well-pleasing to the Lord.
