AC.326, 창4:3-5 속뜻 (AC.324-337)

3세월이 지난 후에 가인은 땅의 소산으로 제물을 삼아 여호와께 드렸고 And at the end of days it came to pass that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering to Jehovah. 4아벨은 자기도 양의 첫 새끼와 그 기름으로 드렸더니 여호와께서 아벨과 그의 제물은 받으셨으나 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock, and of the fat thereof. And Jehovah looked to Abel, and to his offering: 5가인과 그의 제물은 받지 아니하신지라 가인이 몹시 분하여 안색이 변하니 And unto Cain and unto his offering he looked not, and Cain’s anger was kindled exceedingly, and his faces fell.

각각의 예배에 대한 설명입니다. 사랑에서 분리된 신앙으로 드리는 예배를 ‘가인의 제사’(the offering of Cain)라 하고, 체어리티로 드리는 예배를 ‘아벨의 제사’(the offering of Abel)라 합니다. (3-4절) 체어리티로 드리는 예배는 열납(悅納, acceptable)될 수 있었으나, 분리된 신앙으로 드리는 예배는 열납될 수 없었습니다. (4-5절) The worship of each is described, that of faith separated from love, by the “offering of Cain”; and that of charity, by the “offering of Abel.” (verses 3–4) That worship from charity was acceptable, but not worship from separated faith. (verses 4–5)
