AC.307, 창3:24, '이같이 하나님이 그 사람을 쫓아내시고'(AC.306-313)

24절, 이같이 하나님이 그 사람을 쫓아내시고 에덴동산 동쪽에 그룹들과 두루 도는 불 칼을 두어 생명나무의 길을 지키게 하시니라 And he cast out the man; and he made to dwell from the east toward the garden of Eden cherubim, and the flame of a sword turning itself, to keep the way of the tree of lives.

여기서 다루는 후손들은 여섯 번째와 일곱 번째로, 이들은 홍수로 사라진, 그리고 철저히 ‘에덴동산에서 쫓아내신’(cast out of the garden of Eden), 즉 진리를 이해하는 모든 능력을 철저히 회수당한 후, 광적 탐욕과 그로 인한 설득만 남아 마치 사람이 아닌 것처럼 된 그런 상태였습니다. It here treats of the sixth and seventh posterities, which perished by the flood, and were altogether “cast out of the garden of Eden,” that is, from all understanding of truth, and became as it were not men, being left to their insane cupidities and persuasions.
