AC.380, 창4:12, '네가 밭을 갈아도 땅이 다시는' (AC.380-382)

12절, 네가 밭을 갈아도 땅이 다시는 그 효력을 네게 주지 아니할 것이요 너는 땅에서 피하며 유리하는 자가 되리라 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee its strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shalt thou be in the earth.

‘밭을 갈다’(To till the ground)는 이런 스키즘이나 이단 경작하는 것을, ‘땅이 다시는 그 효력을 네게 주지 아니할 것이요’(it shall not yield unto thee its strength)는 열매가 열리지 않음을 의미합니다. ‘땅에서 피하며 유리하는 자’(To be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth)는 무엇이 선이요, 진리인지를 모르는 것입니다. To “till the ground” signifies to cultivate this schism or heresy; “it shall not yield unto thee its strength” signifies that it is barren. To be a “fugitive and a wanderer in the earth” is not to know what is good and true.
